Canal Bridge is a 6 bedroom house, comprising of 2 x doubles and 4 x twins, sleeping a maximum of 13 persons.

Canal Bridge offers all the facilities of a comfortable, modern home, with full central heating and double glazing. We have Wi-fi at the property. Four of the bedrooms are en-suite, the remaining two having their own private bathrooms. All Bedrooms are decorated in neutral tones, furnished with wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and chairs in each, with blackout blinds, kingsize duvets on double beds. The en-suites have shaver points, with mirrors and light. Beds will be made up on arrival, with spare pillows, blankets and hairdryer available. Bath towel and hand towel supplied for each guest.

The ground floor has a large lounge seating 14, with 40" widescreen tv and electric fire, with french doors leading out onto a private courtyard. The kitchen is spacious and ideal for entertaining, with seating for 14. It is equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, gas hob and fan assisted electric oven, large fridge and under counter freezer. A cot and high chair are available on request. The large games room has a 40" widescreen tv, with dvd player and wii games console, IPod docking CD Player and Pool table. We have a wide selection of games, books and toys available. The ground floor has a shower room, ideal for washing down plus a drying area, with generous facilities for hanging coats/waterproofs plus a shoe rack for drying out shoes and boots.

The outside area has a 6 burner gas BBQ, wooden table and seating with large parasol. The lockable wooden gates means the rear of the property is secure, secluded and ideal for storage of bicycles or motorbikes. There are 12 fixed bicycle locks. Car Parking provision for four cars, with nearby on-street parking and a large public car park located within 1 minute walk. The house is located on Gas Lane, a single width no-through road, which leads onto Brecon Canal. Please note that Brecon Rugby Club is situated opposite, providing facilities for food, drink, large functions, live bands and real ale festivals. The Rugby Club Car Park opposite is pay and display at £6 per day, the large public car park by the bus terminus (within 2 mins) is £4.00 over 4 hours. Well-behaved pets are welcome. On arrival you will receive a Welcome Pack. If you so wish, please let us know what time you will be arriving, so that we may personally welcome you. Otherwise we will supply you with a keysafe code so that you can arrive at your convenience.

Bedroom 1

Bedroom 1 is our largest room, offering a Kingsize Bed, with ample room for a Cot or additional Single Bed if required. Window has views of Theatr Brycheiniog and Brecon Rugby Club Car Park. Blackout Blind and Curtains. Vanity Unit with private Shower Room adjacent.

Bedroom 2

Bedroom 2 is a Twin Room, with en-suite Shower Room. Velux rooflight with blackout blind. Beds can be zip-and-linked together to create a king sized bed on request.

Bedroom 3

Bedroom 3 has twin beds. The bedroom has a vanity unit, with private bathroom adjacent. Blackout Blind and curtains on window, overlooking Brecon Rugby Club.

Bedroom 4

Bedroom 4 has a double bed, with en-suite shower room. Velux rooflight with blackout blind. Quiet room situated at the rear of the property.

Bedroom 5

Bedroom 5 has Twin Beds, with en-suite shower room. Velux rooflight with blackout blind. Quiet room situated at the rear of the property.

Bedroom 6

Bedroom 6 has three single beds, with en-suite shower room. Velux rooflight with blackout blind. Quiet room situated at the rear of the property.

Kitchen

The kitchen has seating for 12+. Equipped with 5 ring gas hob, electric oven, large larder fridge, under counter freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave, kettle and 4 slice toaster. Fully equipped with crockery, cutlery and glassware for 24. Iron and Ironing Board. It has everything you'd expect in a family kitchen. A light, spacious room, ideal for entertaining. Catering and Packed Lunches can be provided upon request.

Lounge

The lounge has seating for 12, with patio doors onto the secluded courtyard to the rear of the property. large 40" flatscreen tv with freeview, dvd player. Quality french oak furniture, feature stone arched fireplace and gas fire, make this a cosy and comfortable room in which to relax and unwind. French Doors lead out onto secluded courtyard at rear.

Games Room

The Games Room is equipped with pool table, large flatscreen tv with freeview, dvd player, IPod CD Player, and Wii console. With large sofa and comfortable beanbags, it is the perfect place to relax and chill out. Light and spacious with two sets of french doors opening out onto parking area. This room can also be converted to a meeting room, with chairs and tables to seat 12.

Games and Books

We have a large collection of games, toys and activities available, from Trivial Pursuit to dominoes! With a wide selection of books for all ages, there's something to entertain everyone! There is also a safe available for your use for valuables.

Drying Room

The Drying Room, with its tiled floor, is situated off the Games Room. With open slatted wooden shelves and newspaper provided for drying boots and shoes, and coat hooks for over 12 coats. Heat generated from the Boiler and radiator in this room will dry off coats and clothing overnight. Emergency bicycle repair kit, first aid kit, sponges, handbrush and bucket available. Access via the Drying Room to a ground floor Shower Room, ideal for washing down muddy clothes and boots. Outside tap and wash down area is located to the side of the property.

Entrance Hall

This tiled entrance hall contains a wealth of information on local activities, places to visit and eat, and local information points. Our Welcome Pack has all the key information needed to make your stay an enjoyable and relaxing one. With maps and guides for walkers and cyclists, ranging from beginner routes up to the more strenuous challenges! A Welcome Hamper on arrival will ensure you have tea, coffee, milk, sugar, welsh cakes and other locally sourced goodies!

Courtyard Area

The Courtyard area to the rear of the property offers a private, sheltered spot to relax and unwind. With its 6 burner gas Outback Barbeque, it can cater for all occasions. A mix of patio and gravelled areas makes this great for barbeques and entertaining. Sheltered and enclosed by walls and fencing, accessed through the patio doors off the Lounge, and side gate.

Bicycle Storage/Wash Down Area

The external wash down area is a great addition for cyclists and walkers. Outside tap and drain. Hand brushes and bicycle repair kit provided. With lockable bicycle storage for up to 12 bicycles, behind padlocked wooden gates 6ft high. Also suitable for motorbike storage. Inside the property is a wide selection of maps, books and brochures, routes for cyclists and walkers and details of local bicycle hire and repair shops. Please see Activities page.

Parking/Forecourt

Offering level parking for up to four cars. Level area. Access to house over small step. On-Street parking and long-stay pay and display car park within two minutes walk.

Shower Room

This shows the Shower Room, adjacent to Bedroom 1. It has power-shower and heated towel rail. Four of the six bedrooms have en-suite facilities, all with sink, toilet, shower, radiator, shaver point with light and extractor fans.

Bathroom

The House has six Shower Rooms and one Bathroom.

7 day breaks run Friday-Friday. 3 night short breaks are Friday to Monday, 4 night breaks Monday to Friday.
Short break bookings are available throughout the year, with the exception of Easter, mid July/August, and Christmas/ New Year. 25% deposit is required on booking, with payment in full six weeks prior to arrival. Bookings within six weeks are payable in full on booking. If you have any special requirements, please do not hesitate to email and we will do our best to help.
