Canal Bridge is located within Brecon town, just a 100m level walk to the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal, Theatre Brycheiniog and 5 minutes walk to supermarkets and main High Street in Town. With its many independant shops, bars and restaurants. Leave the car at home during your stay and enjoy a pit or two! The Rugby Club opposite the house offers a friendly welcome to non-members but please not they can have events and live music on occasions. The Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh is within 3 minutes walk or Brecon Cathedral & Heritage Centre.  

The Canal towpath and Taff Trail runs from Brecon to Talybont on Usk, a 8 mile stretch of level walking suitable for all abilities and cyclists.

The House is located on Gas Lane, a single lane no-through road. Within a 1 minute walk is a great playpark and playing field, ideal for children and adults.  Fishing is available in the nearby River Usk (permits need to be purchased locally), or a round of Golf at two local courses in Brecon and Cradoc. 

The Town location gives you a great base form which to explore the Brecon Beacons, the Canal, and so many other attractions on offer throughout South Powys. 

By Bus: easily accessible by public transport, the main bus interchange is within a few inutes level walk of the house with a two hourly bus service to Merthyr/Cardiff (T4), Hereford and Abergavenny. For bus timetable information visit TrawsCymru 

By Rail: Nearest train stations are Abergavenny or Merthyr Tydfil. All 30 minutes drive from Brecon.

Taxis: Please not there are limited taxis available in Brecon. 

Car: Brecon is located on the A470 and A40 trunk routes.

Parking: The House has parking available for up to 4 cars. On Street parking is available on the Watton. You will see on Google Maps that there is a car park directly opposite the house. Please note this pay and display car park belongs to Brecon Rugby Club. Please note number plate cameras operate in the car park so please do not drive in or turn unless you plan to pay for parking.  It is cheaper to park in the Council Pay & Display Car Park at Heol Gousenou (next to bus station) than it is to pay in the private Rugby Club Car Park.
