Our Location

Canal Bridge is located within Brecon town. Just 100metres level walk to the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal, Theatr Brycheinog and five minutes walk to the Supermarkets and main High Street in town, with its many independant shops, bars and restaurants. Leave the car at home and enjoy a pint or two! Enjoy the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh, within 3 minutes walk, or Brecon Cathedral and Heritage Centre. The Canal Towpath and Taff Trail runs from Brecon to Talybont on Usk, an 8 mile stretch, with its level path suitable for walkers and cyclists. The House is located within Gas Lane, a no-through road. Within a 1 minute walk, is a great Play Park and playing field, ideal for children and adults. Fishing is available in the nearby River Usk, (permits must be purchased at local newsagents), or a round of golf at two local Golf Clubs, Brecon and Cradoc. The town location gives you a great base from which to explore the Brecon Beacons, the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal and the many other attractions on offer throughout South Powys.

By Bus: Easily accessible by public transport, the main bus interchange is within a few minutes level walk of the property, with a regular bus service to Merthyr/Cardiff(T4), Newtown (T4), Hereford and Abergavenny.For bus timetable information visit www.traveline-cymru.info or phone 0871 200 22 33. By Train: The nearest stations for Brecon are Abergavenny, Merthyr Tydfil and Llandovery - all 30mins+ drive from Brecon. You will need bus transport from the train stations to Brecon. There are hourly trains to Abergavenny from Newport, Cardiff, Crewe and from Cardiff to Merthyr Tydfil, with good connections from other cities too. By Car: Brecon is easily accessible from all parts of the UK. Once in Brecon, you can "ditch" the car and get around in other ways. There are a series of Car Free Day Out leaflets, promoting many walking and cycling routes to suit all abilities, Town and Mountain, accessible by Bus. Visit www.travelbreconbeacons.info.

Parking on site is available for up to four cars, with on-street parking available on the Watton, and a large public car park (adjacent to bus interchange) currently at £4.00 per day, within 2-3 minutes walk. Brecon Rugby Club is located opposite the property and open to all, with a pay and display car park at £6 per day. Please note number plate cameras operate in Rugby Club Car Park so please do not drive into it unless you intend to pay for parking.
